16. Spectral Draped Figures
Create elegant, life-sized ghostly apparitions that look as though they are floating across your lawn. Construct simple wire armatures or use tall garden stakes topped with styrofoam heads. Drape them in layers of fine, white cheesecloth or tattered chiffon that has been treated with fabric stiffener to hold its shape in the wind. Coat the fabric in a subtle glow-in-the-dark or UV-reactive paint, and position blacklights hidden in the grass to make these silent, faceless figures glow with an otherworldly luminescence.
