19. The Braided Headband with Loose Curly Waves
Replicate the look of a stylish fabric headband using your own hair by weaving a clean braid across the front hairline while the rest of your curls cascade down your back.
How to Make It:
- Take a one-inch section of hair from behind your right ear.
- Braid this section tightly into a clean three-strand braid all the way to the ends and secure with a mini elastic.
- Pull this finished braid tightly across your forehead like a headband, stretching it over to the left side just behind your left ear.
- Pin the end securely behind your left ear, hiding the tip underneath your loose hair.
- Mist the remaining curls with a sea salt or curl refreshing spray to create a cohesive, beachy texture.
Tips and Variations:
- Tip: If your hair is shorter, you can create two braids—one starting from each ear—and cross/pin them in the center of your head for a full halo headband effect.
- Variation: Fishtail the headband section instead of using a standard three-strand braid for a more intricate, woven appearance.
