14. The Spooky Scarecrow
The scarecrow is a classic autumn icon that can be easily customized to be either cute and charming or dark and terrifying. For a beautifully balanced, classic look, start with a warm, cozy makeup base. Apply a large, bright orange circle of blush or face paint on the tip of your nose, and outline it with black liquid eyeliner to look like a stitched-on burlap patch. Draw small, vertical “stitches” along the border of the patch.
Create a warm, copper or bronze smoky eye to match the autumn theme. For the mouth, draw a long black line extending outward from the corners of your lips across your cheeks, and paint vertical stitch lines along the entire length to create a sewn-shut mouth effect. You can add a few freckles across your nose and cheeks using a brown eyeliner pen. Wear a plaid shirt, a straw hat, and tuck a little bit of raffia or straw into your collar to complete this festive fall look.
