7. The Melting Neon Skull
For a look that is modern, artistic, and incredibly eye-catching under blacklights, try the Melting Neon Skull. This makeup creates a striking optical illusion, making it look as though your human face is melting away to reveal a vibrant, glowing neon skeleton underneath. Start by doing your everyday glam makeup on one half of your face, or across the upper portion of your face. On the other section, map out the skeletal structure using a white eyeliner pencil.
Fill in the hollows of the skull—like the eye sockets, nose cavity, and jaw hollows—with matte black face paint. Then, use highly pigmented neon eyeshadows in shades of pink, green, orange, or yellow to shade around the edges of the bones, creating a “glowing” neon effect. Use a white liquid liner to draw sharp highlights on the brightest parts of the bones to make them pop. Draw dripping, melting paint lines along the border where your glam makeup meets the skull to complete the illusion of a melting face.
