The Mummy Wrap Texture
Give your nails a tactile, ancient Egyptian makeover with a design inspired by mummy wraps. This look starts with a warm, sandy beige or off-white base. Using a 3D building gel or a thick-viscosity painting gel, overlapping, horizontal lines are painted across the nail to mimic the texture of aged, frayed linen bandages. To make the texture pop, a tiny amount of brown or grey shadow is blended into the crevices of the “wraps” using a dry brush, giving them an aged, dusty, and weathered appearance.
To complete the look, a matte topcoat is applied to preserve the fabric-like texture. For a playful twist, you can have two glowing yellow or red “eyes” peeking out from between the bandages on an accent nail. It is a highly creative, textured design that feels incredibly unique and fun to touch.
