What This Idea Means: The central feature is a majestic Gothic Cathedral with high ribbed vaults, stained glass windows, flying buttresses, and tall bell towers. Surrounding the cathedral grounds are monastery cloisters, herbal gardens, scribe libraries, and a small island township connected to the mainland by a single heavily guarded causeway bridge.
How to Make It: Find or construct a large lake island. Center your build on a grand cathedral layout with a cruciform (cross-shaped) floor plan. Utilize Pointed Dripstone, Stone Brick Stairs, and Wall blocks for delicate gothic pinnacles. Place colorful Stained Glass patterns on large rose windows. Surround the perimeter of the island with stone retaining walls that dip directly into the water.
