Materials Needed:
- Genuine leather scrap (caramel, tan, or deep chocolate brown)
- A flat, teardrop-shaped turquoise slab bead (top-drilled)
- Heavy-duty leather hole punch
- Antique brass jump rings and sturdy matching chain
- Sharp fabric scissors
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Cut the Leather: Draw a neat crescent shape (about 2 inches wide) on the back of your leather scrap. Carefully cut it out with sharp scissors to ensure clean, unfrayed edges.
- Punch the Holes: Using your leather punch on its smallest setting, make a single hole at each of the two upper tips of the crescent (for the chain) and one hole in the dead center of the bottom curve (for the stone).
- Mount the Turquoise: Open a heavy-duty antique brass jump ring. Pass it through the top-drilled hole of your turquoise slab, then loop it through the center bottom hole of your leather crescent. Close the ring securely.
